Are you prepping for the week ahead?
Why don’t you give these flapjacks a go.
The perfect little sweet snack at less than 125 calories per slice
Do you find yourself craving something sweet and grabbing a store bought protein or chocolate bar?
Store bought protein bars are on average 250 calories and are so moreish..
I have been experimenting and created these protein bars using chickpeas!
At less than 100 calories per bar they are my absolute go to snack when I want something to satisfy my sweet tooth.
I make a big batch at the weekend and keep them frozen, defrost for 5 minutes before I want one and and it tastes great.
After my success of using this newly discovered Tofoo Co. tofu last week I thought I would try it again over the weekend.
I created my own BBQ marinade and served the tofu with veggie stir fried rice.. it was lovely and filling and very easy to make!
I was feeling a little under the weather this evening and all I fancied eating was soup!
I’m not a big fan of store bought soup so thought I would attempt to make my own.
With a little Mexican inspiration the outcome was delicious…
It is packed full of spice and flavour, and one serving also contains 15g of protein!
I had it with toasted sourdough but it would also taste lovely with some spicy rice or a baked tortilla wrap.
After a long week at work I got home this evening and was craving something sweet for my dinner. I didn’t fancy zoats (I know, can you believe it!?)…so thought I’d try and make some pancakes!
I didn’t have much protein left in my macros for the day and more carbs, so this recipe doesn’t have quite as much protein as I would usually make! Of course you can adjust to suit your own needs 🙂
They were absolutely delicious – fluffy and super light, and tasted just like ordinary pancakes and only 450 calories including the toppings!
